Newly Enhanced SpnoHngr FSM!

As I secretly told(not much of a secret now) S77, I had been able get enough time to do a handful of JPOG mods while I was making up for my grades. And here is one of them!

THE NEWLY ENHANCED SPNOHNGR FSM!

This mod contains:
- new behavior for Large Carns = change of mind when weak or hungry
- new dueling behavior for Large Carns
- edits from the GEP V1 SpnoHngr
also:
- a new and secret behavior for a certain Large Carnivore!(Spinosaurus Ambush Mod)


Large Carn different Mindset

One would probably find it unrealistic when a Large Carn stupidly tries to attack a defensive herbivore when it is very weak. Also, large carns typically don't go after what they usually choose not to attack when they are faced with extreme hunger. Well this minor mod fixes it all! Large Carns will now choose to eat small prey or scavenge when they are weak, and will resume hunting larger prey when fully recovered. They will now acquire the closest living animal, except for members of the same species, and attack when they are very hungry. Not one of the major mods, but still adds a bit more realism.

New Large Carn Duels

Large Carns are now far more aggressive with this mod. For example, when a Spino finds a carcass while searching for food, and spots another Large Carn of a different species feeding on that carcass, it will try to scare off its opponent off its kill by roaring and showing strength. If the other carn retreats, the Spino will roar at it once more to assert its authority on the now stolen corpse. If it doesn't retreat, the Spino will roar fiercely at its opponent, forcing it to confront the Spino vis-a-vis(face to face). The opponent will try to defend itself, and will either retreat or stand its ground. But the Spino will charge and knock its opponent to the ground, before making one final roar to put off that other carn. If the rival is killed in the process, Spino will roar in victory and go back to the carcass. But that other carn may fight back, and eventually, it becomes a real duel to the death for the carcass. It's a different story though, if two hungry large carns find one abandoned corpse. They will both face each other once one has spotted the other, and the same goes on with the first example with Spino. One of the large carns though, may ignore or flee from the other, and if that other carn is infuriated, it could get brutal again. If a large carn, like say, Carcha, finds a carcass with small carns or herbivores around it, the Carcha will scare off the other critters before heading towards the corpse. If they don't retreat, Carcha will choose to face the creatures and then strike. Large Carns of the same species will never fight with each other, and will happily share food with each other(There has to be some generosity, right?). This means you can bet that an Acro and a Carcha, who normally don't attack each other, in the same enclosure will be far from friendly towards each other in terms of food supply.

Some edits of the original GEP V1 SpnoHngr, like new varieties for attacks and such.

Now, the secret behavior, is a new behavior for Spinosaurus! (Info is in some of the bottom posts)

Is one of the mods that carnivores get annoyed at each other? Cause my Charchardontosaurus had an allosaurus walking behind and the Char turned its head and roared at it scaring the Allo xD

Yes, large carns are now very aggressive. If they find a carcass with another carn eating from it, or an animal near it, they will try to scare and even attack the animal. Also, thanks RSR for the welcome back.

This answers one of your parts djrayman64, but sadly I can't make a video of the effects....

S77, why don't you try hatching a Spino near a lake? Something interesting should happen.....

yeah i tried it the spino ussually rests and rests and lets just cut to the chase it just waits until prey goes near and baam its eaten by the spino
and by the way it looks like its resting Razz

Yup. It now takes advantage, unlike other large carns, that animals that are thirsty will come down to a water source to drink....I'm not sure yet on which anim will make it seem invisible to the animal.....but yes, it's a new kind of ambush behavior for Spino. If the prey outruns it or drains Spino's energy, he will make a disgruntled roar and will either go back to its ambush spot(water) or search for food by foot(as in hunt on land).

well i like it but my spino is way to far from herds then it just sits there so i constantly have to feed it
oh and by the way i feed it gallimimus it takes about 5 of them to make my spino happy

It's a nice mod but I think the line "a new and secret behavior for a certain Large Carnivore!" should be soon explained exactly. For some people it might have a status Cool, but others might be really disappointed. So having the early warning advantage could save them a bit of it.

Ok, Gorsh. It's the Spino's new ambushing behavior. Technically, instead of hunting by foot, it will acquire the nearest water source, unless it finds a prey item along the way. Once near a lake, or a river, it will go into a state of hiding(using the same animation the GEP did for their ambush behavior), and will scan the perimeter for food. Once a prey item is spotted, it will wait patiently for it to get too close, then it strikes!
If it fails, well, the other info is in one of my previous posts. Do you think this info is enough already?
